AFP recently did a podcast about the topics of physician wellbeing and burnout. The featured guest is Mark H. Greenawald, MD, who recently co-authored "Healers in Need of Healing Cannot Heal" with Herdley O. Paolini, PhD.
Dr. Greenawald shares his own personal struggles with burnout. He believes we have reached a critical mass in physician burnout where people are finally realizing that it is national epidemic of great proportions and that both individual physicians and health care organizations need to partner in combating it.
